Technological and Applied Studies (TAS)

Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) represents a group of subjects where the design and application of technology is fundamental to realising solutions that meet a need. The focus of TAS subjects is to incorporate the use of technology through practical application in all subjects.  Learning is enhanced through the use of technology, tools, techniques and skills with various materials such as textiles, food, wood and computers. TAS learning areas always encourage imagination, creativity, innovation, critical thinking and responsible use of technology.

TAS course assessments include practical and written tasks as well as portfolio style documentation, industry studies, project work and examinations.
