Students study the compulsory Science course in Years 7 to 10. They are ungraded in Year 7 and graded from Year 8 and upwards. This gives the students with higher ability an opportunity to be extended with extra content and more challenging activities such as the national Science Competition. In Year 11 & 12, students may choose to study Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Senior Science.

Science courses are supported by three laboratories, two preparatory rooms, nine Science Teachers, and a Laboratory Assistant. Interactive whiteboards are available in each laboratory as well as laptop and desktop computers.

Students undertake practical investigations and opportunities are provided to extend learning beyond the classroom through research. There are a variety of field trips, incursions and excursions held for each Year group.
