The students in the Primary department participate in sporting activities every day. They participate in fitness lessons for 10 minutes each day and skill based sports lessons once a week. The sports in which students engage include: fine motor skills, soccer, cricket, football, netball, volley ball, dance and athletics.
In Term One, we have skilled instructors from the Aquatic Centre at Homebush who conduct an intensive two week program with our students in Years 2, 4 and 6 and our Years 1, 3 and 5 students participate in a gymnastics program with skilled instructors from Tri-Skills Australia. Our Annual Athletics Carnival is held at the Athletic Centre in Homebush each year in Term Three.
As a Catholic College, we are affiliated with the Parramatta Diocese and send representatives who meet the required criteria to participate in Zone and Diocesan Swimming and Athletics events in Terms One and Three respectively. Through our affiliation with the Parramatta Diocese, we are able to enter students into Gala Days for sports including Touch Football, Soccer and Gymnastics.
